Stephen Swink

Stephen Dean Swink, 62, passed away peacefully at his home in Parsons, Kansas on Thursday, May 23, 2019. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 28th at 10:00 AM at Union Valley Cemetery in Chanute, Kansas.

Stephen Dean Swink was born to Leonard Richard and Margaret Jean (Phillips) Swink on February 24, 1957 in Pittsburg, CA. Stephen attended Fort Scott Community College's Truck Driving School earning his CDL. Through the years Stephen worked as a truck driver, he worked at various manufacturing facilities as a Supervisor, and was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church and he enjoyed hot rod cars, woodworking and NASCAR, but most of all he loved the time he spent with his family.

Stephen will be laid to rest next to his parents and grandparents.

Those left to carry on Stephen's memory include, sons; Richard Swink of Wichita, KS, Marc Swink of Wichita, KS, and Stephen McCullough-Hembree of Arma, KS, brothers; Leonard and wife Ann Swink of Neodesha, KS, and James and wife Jessica Swink of Thayer, KS, sisters; Gloria Kinyon of Erie, KS, and Lois Shields of Chanute, KS, grandchildren; Talin and Holland Swink, and numerous nieces and nephews.
