Teresa Terry Klufa, age 77, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at her home in Morehead, KS. Mrs. Klufa was born September 23, 1933 in Hutchinson, Kansas, the daughter of Antonio and Augustina Nava Martinez. Terry attended and graduated from Hutchinson Public Schools, she had also attended business school in Hutchison and Garden City Community College. Terry had been a paraprofessional at the Buffalo Jones Elementary School in Garden City, KS for 8 years before retiring. Terry was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling with her husband. Terry married Gary Klufa on May 15, 1971 in Stockton, Missouri, Mr. Klufa survives at the home. She is also survived by her two sons: Paul Hernandez of Hutchinson, KS and Antonio Hernandez of Topeka, KS along with 4 grandchildren and 2 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Mary Sanchez. Terry will lie in state on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 from 5:00 pm. until 7:00 p.m. at PenwellGabel Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha. A visitation will also be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at PenwellGabel Hutchinson Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in South Hutchinson with Father Brian Nelson, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park. The family suggests memorial remembrances to Hospice Care of Kansas or the American Cancer Society and may be left at the funeral home. PenwellGabel Loran Fawcett Chapel is in charge of local arrangements and PenwellGabel Hutchinson Chapel is in charge of services in Hutchinson.
