Venus Boyer

Venus Lorene Boyer, 99, of Neodesha passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at her home in rural Neodesha.
Lorene was born in Lafontaine, Kansas, on September 26, 1916 to Amos and Grace Allen Neer. She was the youngest of ten children. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and two sisters. She is survived by one sister, Ruth Fear, of Wapato, Washington.
Lorene married Raymond Ralph "Bo" Boyer on October 16, 1937 in Neodesha. Raymond preceded her in death in 1998. She is survived by her two children, Raymond Allen "Sonny" Boyer and Leah Kay Payton, both of Alma, Arkansas. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Bradley Hilker and Sarah Kenner, four great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Boyer was a master knitter and devoted much of her life to creating beautiful pieces for family and friends.
Lorene Boyer was a lifetime member of the Nazarene Church of Neodesha. Funeral services were held at the Nazarene Church on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 2 P.M. Visitation was held from 11 A.M. to 12 P.M. at the church.
The family has asked that memorials be made to the Nazarene Church of Neodesha and can be sent directly to them or through the Loren Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha.
