Verna B. Croll Verna B. Croll of South Coffeyville, OK, died Sunday, May 20, 2007, at her home. She was 68. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2007, at Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Funeral Chapel in Neodesha, KS. Interment will be in Neodesha Cemetery. Friends may call to view and register Wednesday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The daughter of David and Louise Gould Williams, she was born September 25, 1938, in Blackfoot, ID. She moved to Pocatello, ID, when she was five years old and received her education there. In 1958, she moved to Tulsa, OK, where she was employed by Keith Croll as a nanny. It was there she met her future husband, James Myron Croll. The couple was united in marriage on March 21, 1959, in Neodesha, KS. She spent many years as a military wife and lived in numerous locations around the country during her husbands career in the service. She moved to Neodesha in 1979 where she lived until 1987. She and her husband then moved to South Coffeyville, OK, where she lived until her death. Her husband survives at the home. Verna was very involved with youth activities including the puppet ministry at the Lords Chapel in Neodesha and the Word of Faith Church in Coffeyville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Richard and his wife Susan of Burlington, KS; five sisters, Sandy Cole of Anchorage, AK, Delpha Pennington of Kellogg, ID, Jackie Knutson of Twin Falls, ID, Linda Vining of Bellingham, WA, and Bobby Shepherd of Albany, OR; three brothers, Allen Williams of Omaha, NE, Earl Williams of Pocatello, ID, and Boyd Williams of Dallas, TX; two grandchildren, Whitney and Austin Croll of Burlington, KS. She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Russell; two brothers, Lynn and Homer; and a sister, Donna.
