VIOLETT M. KLINGENBERG-TINCKNELL Violett M. Klingenberg Tincknell, 93, a longtime resident of Neodesha, Kansas passed away Sunday morning, September 30, 2007. Violett was born December 22, 1913 in Yates Center, Kansas to Julius G. and Lottie R. Mollnow Tadtman. On September 3, 1930, she married Max Oliver Klingenberg, deceased 1955. She married Garland G. Tincknell on September 2, 1960. Survivors include four children: Sharon Davis and husband Ray of Salado, Texas, Richard Klingenberg and wife Joyce of Neodesha, Kansas, Jon R. Klingenberg and wife Emma of Butler, Illinois, Gary Klingenberg and wife Sherry of League City, Texas, and daughter-in-law Kay Klingenberg of Owasso, Oklahoma. Also surviving are several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Violett was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lucille Watson, her sister Carrie Fortner, her brother Emerson Tadtman, her husband Max Klingenberg, their son Ronald M. Klingenberg, and her husband Garland G. Tincknell. Having lived in Neodesha for more than 60 years, Vi enjoyed making friends while she worked at several stores on Main Street. Later, she and her second husband, Garland, loved to go to flea markets and have garage sales. Quilt making, collecting, and bingo were among the many other activities she enjoyed. Vi was a resident of Golden Keys Nursing Home the past three years. She leaves many good friends as well as caregivers who grew to love her. Graveside services will be Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. in Neodesha Cemetery, with Pastor Jim Logan of Grace Baptist Church officiating. Friends may call at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Neodesha on Tuesday, October 2 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 2 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family suggests memorials to Golden Keys Nursing Home, 221 Mill Street, Neodesha, KS or to the American Lung Association.
