Virginia Elaine Pratt age 95, of Neodesha, KS, passed away on January 7, 2017 at the Neodesha Care Center.

Virginia was born on June 1, 1921 in Wichita to Harry and Hazel (Proctor) Perry. She attended school in Wichita, Parsons, and Anthony. She met and married Lawrence Pratt and the couple was united in marriage on June 8, 1939 in Wellington, KS. Lawrence was a proud WWII Army Air Corps gunner veteran and served several terms as Commander of the VFW Post 5962, Virginia served right beside him as the secretary for the Ladies Auxiliary. The couple made their home on a farm North of Neodesha where they were blessed with a son, Arthur. Virginia was a member in the Sycamore Ladies Aid, D.A.R., and the Colonial Dames, and a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Neodesha.

Left to honor her memory are, grandchildren, Larry Pratt his wife Brenda, Linda Dannels, and Tami Pratt, great-grandchildren, Troy Dannels his partner Michael Grimes, Tara Dannels, Kody Pratt, Ben Vosatka, and Adam Vosatka, great-great-grandchildren, Caden, Conner, and Cason Berger. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 59 years, Lawrence, son Arthur, and a great-granddaughter Allisa Pratt

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Loran Fawcett Chapel at 1:00pm, interment will follow at the Altoona Cemetery. Friends are invited to sign the register on Monday, January 9, 2017 from 12:00pm to 7:00pm with the family receiving friends from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.
