Walter Shoop

Walter W. Shoop Walter Wallace Shoop of Neodesha, KS, died Thursday, August 21, 2008, at the Golden Living Center in Neodesha. He was 70. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Neodesha Cemetery. The son of Walter Wayne and Ruth Larcom Shoop, he was born September 24, 1937, in Neodesha, KS. Walter graduated from Neodesha High School. He joined the US Marine Corps in 1956 and was honorably discharged in 1959 He was married and later
orced in California. He returned to Neodesha where he was employed at Linn Elevator for several years. Survivors include a son Walter; two brothers, Marvin and Cecil Bud Shoop, both of Neodesha; and two sisters, Ruth McWhirt of Ewa Beach, HI, and Esther Martin of Lowell, AR. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Orville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harry Hynes Hospice and may be left at the funeral home.
