Wiley Clark Edington Wiley Clark Edington of Neodesha, Kansas, died Tuesday evening at his home in Neodesha. He was 63. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 1, 2004, at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas, under the direction of Penwell Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The son of Wiley Malone and Velma Marie Inlow Edington, he was born January 25, 1941, in Wichita, Kansas. He graduated from Camden High School in Cambrian Park, California, and attended one year of junior college at San Jose Community College in San Jose, CA. He married Linda Ball and they were later
orced. He married Verna Botts in Miami, Oklahoma, in 1967. She survives at the home. Mr. Edington was a certified welder and worked for numerous steel fabricators. He also served in the US Army Reserve and was a member of and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 3448 in Neodesha and the United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Martha Cooper of Neodesha; three sons, Rick Edington of Kettle River, MN, Timothy Black of Madison, WI, and Robert Black; his mother, Velma Edington of Coffeyville, KS; two brothers, Ron Edington of Dewey, Oklahoma, and Mike Edington of Independence, KS; two sisters, Patsy Jones of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Nancy Mercereau of Coffeyville, KS; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Gary. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Adrenal Disease Foundation and may be left at the funeral home.
