William (Bill) H. Long of Neodesha, Kansas passed away at his home on October 21, 2021 at the age of 82. Bill was born on February 25, 1939 in Bartlesville Oklahoma to Gilbert and Paulina Long. He had an older brother Bob and a younger sister Guyla. He met and married the love of his life Kay Long in 1960. They were married for 60 years before she preceded him and death in 2020. They made their home in Neodesha Kansas where they raised their three children Colby, Cody, and Chelly.
One of the things he enjoyed most was building and racing stock cars and taking the whole family to the track. Bill had a few jobs over the years; he was a mechanic until he retired. After retiring Bill and Kay ran a free in-home daycare for their grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bill was known for his woodworking alongside his wife Kay. They traveled together to craft shows for many years.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, brother, sister, wife Kay, son-Cody, and grandson Corey. He is survived by his son-Colby and wife Belinda Long of Fredonia, his daughter- Chelly and husband Erik Hoobler of Neodesha, six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
