Wilma Lawson Geneva Wilma Lawson of Neodesha, Kansas, died Sunday evening, November 20, 2005, at the Wilson County Hospital in Neodesha. She was 94. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2005, in Neodesha Cemetery under the direction of Penwell Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. Friends may call to view and register on Tuesday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-7 p.m. The daughter of Perry and Agnes Buchman Lowers, she was born October 1, 1911, in Fredonia, Kansas. She was raised and attended school in Fredonia. ON May 26, 1935, she was united in marriage to Herbert Lawson in Neodesha. The couple eventually moved to El Dorado, KS, where Mr. Lawson was employed at the local refinery. Mrs. Lawson worked as a clerk for seven years for Lehens Jewelry and for 33 years for Graves Drug Store. The couple enjoyed traveling, especially to the western United States. They returned to Neodesha five years ago and he preceded her in death January 15, 2001. Mrs. Lawson was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Survivors include two brothers, Herman Lowers of Las Vegas, NV, and Wayne Lowers of Granada Hills, CA; and one sister, Florence Carter of Neodesha, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers and Related Diseases Association and may be left at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at www.penwellgabel.com.
