Alberta Lou Jones 78 of Lebo, Kansas passed away Wednesday December 1, 2021, at her home in Lebo, Kansas. Celebration of life services will be Friday December 10, 2021, at 11:00AM at Christ Church in Neodesha, KS. A Visitation will be Thursday December 9,2021, at Loran Fawcett Chapel, the family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
Alberta Lou (Steele) Jones was born March 16, 1943, in Neodesha, Kansas to Lula Grace (Holiday) Steele and Albert Edwin Steele. She grew up in Neodesha, Kansas and graduated from Neodesha High School. On July 21, 1962, Alberta married Gary Lee Jones in Neodesha, KS. Alberta worked at Cobalt Boats and Prestige Cabinets, she drove the Neodesha school bus for 9 years, she loved going to all of the events with the school kids. She also worked at Casey's in Neodesha, Kansas for several years. Alberta never met a stranger, she always had her door open to anyone, if you left her house hungry it was your own fault, she always had a meal for anyone that might show up. Everyone called her AJ.
Alberta loved camping, Rodeos, motorcycling, traveling, and cooking and canning. Alberta was the greatest mom anyone could ever have ask for. Alberta will be missed by all of her family, she will be in our hearts forever.
Alberta is survived by three daughters, Karla Sue (Jones) Jordan, Shelli Ann Jones, and Alisha Diane (Jones) Thomas and husband James all of Lebo, Kansas and twin brother Albert Lee Steele and brother Ronald Steven Steele. And seven grandchildren, Kayla Rose Jones Jordan, Michael Antrim Jones Jordan, Grace Fae Jones Jordan, Jacob Maxwell Feldman, Jarod Lee Alan Jones, Kort Algier Thomas, Rheyanna Jean Thomas. and Five great grandchildren, Leigha Lue Rose Jordan, Julian Lynn Jordan, Byron Tyrone Fowler III, Kaleena Fay Faith Fowler, and Alejandro (Alex) Jose Hidalgo.
Alberta is preceded in death by beloved husband Gary Lee Jones and her parents Lula Grace and Albert Edwin Steele, and three sisters Gloena Lavern Dillashaw, Lois Marie Meanor, and Sharon Lynn Rogers and two brothers, Loren Edwin Steele, and Melvyn Leon Steele.
