Dale H Gildart 89 of rural Thayer, KS. passed away at his home on Saturday September 21, 2019.
Graveside services will be Saturday September 28, 2019 at 11:00am at the Thayer Cemetery in Thayer, KS. Visitation will be Friday September 27, 2019 the family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha, KS.
Dale was born September 16, 1930 near Thayer, KS. His parents were Charley and Sibyl (Jones) Gildart. He attended a country school house in rural Thayer for 6 years and graduated from Thayer High School in 1949. He married Corrinea M Henderson on the 7th day of May 1960 at Pleasant Hill Community Church.
He was employed as a Tuckpointer for Central States Waterproofing and a partner in the Gildart Brothers Farm. His hobbies included riding his Harley and loved taking trips to Arkansas on his Harley. Dale loved to work on antique gas engines and showed them and loved to work on antique clocks. Dale loved to raise game birds, pheasants, quail and turkeys and loved working in his garden, one year he grew a prize winning watermelon at the Thayer Homecoming.
Dale is survived by one son Justin Gildart of Rural Thayer, KS. and one daughter Julie Wilkerson and husband Steve of Rural Thayer, KS. and 2 granddaughters Corrine and Marlee Wilkerson and 3 sisters Mary Pippen of Oklahoma, Francis Wedan of California, and Norma Stell and husband Tony of Oklahoma.
Dale is preceded in death by his wife Corrinea and his parents and 4 brothers Paul, Roy, Ralph and Neil Gildart and 4 sisters Reva Wallace, Doris Engstrom, Erma Gouch and Nelda Beeman.
