Delta Joyce Grant of Neodesha, Kansas passed away Friday, October 8, 2021.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha, KS. Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2021, at the Fairland Cemetery in Fairland, OK.
Delta J. (Powell) Grant was born at home northeast of Leonard, Missouri to Marion and Jewell Powell on July 21, 1937. After graduating high school in Shelbyville, Missouri, she moved to St. Louis and met Ernie Grant at church. They were married on January 15, 1956.
She and Ernie were self-employed and worked together all of their married life. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Neodesha, Kansas.
Ernie and Delta have two children- one daughter, Barbara, and husband T.J. Wagoner and one son, Mike and wife Tammy Grant all of Neodesha, Kansas. She has two granddaughters- Tabetha Coltrain and husband Josh of Independence, Kansas. And Jade Sherley and husband Richard Independence, Kansas. And four grandsons- Sebastian and Gabi Ramon of Quito, Ecuador; Keisuke and Tabi Ichikura of Lexington, Kentucky; Yusuke Sekine and wife of Tokyo, Japan, and Julio Gonzalez of Guatemala; six great grandsons and six great granddaughters.
Delta is preceded in death by her husband Ernie Grant and her parents Marion and Jewell, her brother Duane Powell. Memorials can made in her name to the 1st Southern Baptist Church of Neodesha, KS. and can be left at the Loran Fawcett Chapel of Neodesha, KS. On-
