Neodesha

Gavin Lee Lawrence found eternal peace on November 7, 2021, in Neodesha, Kansas. He was 22.

A service to celebrate Gavin’s life will begin at 2:00 PM on Friday November 19, 2021, at Christ Church, Neodesha under the direction of the Loran Fawcett Chapel.

Gavin Lee Lawrence was born June 5, 1999, in Great Bend, Kansas to Traci Lynott (Brozek) and John Lawrence. He attended school in Neodesha and went on to earn a certificate in automotive collision repair at Coffeyville Community College. He was a self-employed freelance worker enjoying most jobs that he accepted.

At a young age Gavin developed a love of music with a passion for drums and could be seen drumming on anything and everything. He also felt a connection with nature and animals, so he found peace while hiking and camping and enjoyed spending time with his pets Cash and Apollo. His laughter and humor could be heard every time he was with family or when he was playing online games with friends. Gavin was always ready to go whenever his mom needed a partner for adventures whether it was a shopping trip, dinner date, travelling or just a helping hand at home. He was never afraid to try. Working until he got the skateboard trick down, cooking a new dish, airsoft games with others, riding the highest rollercoaster, winning the online game battle with the most underdog character, being a part of a mosh pit, and carrying metal on a steep rooftop were only challenges to conquer for Gavin. He was a kind and gentle soul who will be missed by those who truly knew and loved him. Our loss is Heaven’s gain.

Gavin is survived by his mother and bonus dad, Traci and Sean Lynott of Neodesha; Father John Lawrence (Julie) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother Garrett Lawrence, niece Addy, nephew Alistar all of Independence; grandparents Eldon and Alice Brozek of Great Bend, John and Sharon Lynott of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Greg and Barbara Lawrence of Minneola; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorials can be made in Gavin’s name to Road to Recovery of Neodesha, Kansas. and can be left with the Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha, Kansas. On-Line condolences can be left at www.loranfawcettfuneralhome.com
