Martin “Marty” Perry, 86, of Huntsville, Arkansas went to be with the Lord November 14, 2020. He was born June 19, 1934 in New Albany, Kansas, the son of the late Frank Earl and Della Mae Watson Perry. Marty had served in the United States Army for 2 years and then served in the National Guard for almost 20 years. Marty married the love of his life, Dorothy Goodman September 15, 1962 at the First Christian Church in Neodesha, Kansas. He and Dorothy moved the family to Arkansas in 1971 to start his long career at Tyson Foods. He became the Director of Milling after years of hard work. He enjoyed traveling to all the feed mills where he made lifelong friends. After 30 plus years he retired from Tyson Foods but continued to work as a feed mill consultant until 2007.

His hard work and dedication did not end with retirement, he enjoyed working around the house and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Everything he did was with his family in mind. His devotion to his wife, children and grandchildren will forever be unmatched. He was a great role model and inspiration to his family and countless other’s. He took great pride in every accomplishment his children achieved. He was a wonderful grandpa to his grandkids and great grandkids and his family and friends meant the world to him and he would light up every time his family was around. Marty is preceded in death by one son, Mike Perry; sisters, Mildred, Mary, Wilda and Evelyn and brothers, David, Gene and Joe.

Marty is survived by his wife Dorothy Perry of the home; children, Jeff Perry and his wife Carmel of Lincoln, Arkansas, Craig Perry and his wife Tandi of Pine Mountain, Georgia, Alisa Smith and her husband Craig of Huntsville, Arkansas; Siblings, Alice May and her husband Ross of Neodesha, Kansas, Betty Powell and her husband Doyle of Fredonia, Kansas, Bob Perry of Neodesha, Kansas; grandchildren, Tyler, Josh, Catelyn, Zac, Megan, Nicole, Caleb, Camden, Evan; great grandchildren, Cannan, Boker, Creed, Khloey, Brooks, Clayton, Gatlin, Cash, Alisa, Sunny and Claire.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762. A second visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Loran-Fawcett Funeral Home, 704 Indiana Street, Neodesha, Kansas. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, November 19, 2020 at First Christian Church, 702 Wisconsin Street, Neodesha, Kansas 66757 with Jerry Piatt and Steven Foraker officiating under the direction of Loran-Fawcett Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Neodesha Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tyler Harp, Josh Perry, Zac Perry, Caleb Smith, Camden Perry and Evan Perry.
