Richard "Dick" Edward Grabner II

Obituary

Richard “Dick” Edward Grabner II, lifetime resident of Neodesha, died peacefully on January 20, 2023 at Wilson Medical Center with his family by his side.  He is survived by two children, Joshua Brian Grabner (Neodesha, KS) & Lacy Jo Graham (Pasadena, CA), one granddaughter, Addie Graham, his sister, Jan Sprinkle (Tell City, IN), two nieces, a great nephew, several stepchildren/grandchildren, and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his son, Richard “Ricky” Edward Grabner III, wives Jolene, Helen, and Clara, parents, Richard Edward Grabner, and Shirley Grabner (Vandaveer), and Grandparents John & Ida Grabner and Ralph & Anis Vandaveer. 

Dick was born, raised and lived most of his life in the Grabner family farmhouse on County Line Road, that was homesteaded in 1879.  He was a farmer, rancher and excellent welder.  He loved the outdoors and frequently visited the Grabner pond on his ATV. 

Friends are welcomed to join the family on Wednesday, January 25th at Loran Fawcett Chapel from 5:00 to 7:00 to reminisce and share stories. A Celebration of Dick’s life will be held at Loran Fawcett Chapel on Thursday, January 26th at 10:00 am with burial immediately following at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Dick’s name to Wilson Medical Center.
